Broker's Comments

Built by Hans Christian in Thailand in 1992, this Scandinavian 48 was shipped to the USA and laid up until 2000 when she was sold to her first owners, at this time most of her systems were fitted. Back in Thailand with her second owner, she was extensively refitted in 2011 including new teak decks, generator, fuel tanks, auto prop, A/C, most navigation instruments, new sails, AIS, holding tank plumbing and water maker. Sold to her third owner in Jan 2014 who, after having new standing rigging fitted, new lifelines, new life raft, new windlass, mast steps, new refrigeration system and more, decided that she was too big for him and had to make way for a smaller boat. The current owner of 6 years, now finds advancing age means he uses her less and finds looking after her more difficult, so has asked us to find a buyer. Recent maintenance has been to a rather poor standard and many of the systems have not been used for some time but were all in good order when last used, the price of the boat has been set to allow for the required maintenance and re-commissioning costs, new sails etc. she is currently being treated for a termite infestation.

Thai flagged.
